Day 3
PolkaFest at the Masonic Temple Lodge.
What a way to start out the Masonic Temple part of the PolkaFest. Stellar performances from all bands.
The Polka Quads and Li'l John & the ATM Band led things off with exceptional performances. They both played for 2 hours each alternating the limelight.
Then, at 7:00pm, a returning favorite to the PolkaFest took the stage and blew everyone away, as they always do. The Polka Family did not disappoint, yet again. While they were performing, they did a little bit of insect removal by having the people on the dance floor "Stomp on all the Cucarachas".
Alternating stages with the Polka Family was Karl Lukisch and his band. They entertained the crowds with their music and most of all, their costumes. Throughout their performances, they donned different kinds of wigs and masks including the Blues Brothers and Elvis Presley. A personal thank you goes out to the Karl Lukisch Band for filling in at the last minute.
During the night, John Freidhoff named the 2005 Polka Ambassadors. [See Picture to the Right]
DUE TO A PERSONAL SITUATION, STEVE MEISNER WAS NOT ABLE TO MAKE THE 2005 POLKAFEST.
